Blog: Children's Liturgy of the Word
Simeon took the child into his arms and blessed God saying:
"Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in the sight of all the peoples: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel." Luke 2:22-40
He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19
"Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world." - John 1:29
"And a voice came from the heavens, saying, 'This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.'" Matthew 3:17
Brothers and Sisters:
You have heard of the stewardship of God's grace that
was given to me for your benefit,
namely, that the mystery was made known to me by revelation.
It was not made known to people in other generations as it has now
been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit:
that the Gentiles are co-heirs, members of the same body,
and co-partners in the promise in Christ Jesus through
the Gospel. Ephesians 3:2-3a, 5-6
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall name him Emmanuel,
which means “God is with us.”
Be patient, brothers and sisters, until the coming of the Lord....Make your hearts firm, because the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not complain, brothers and sisters, about one another, that you may not be judged. Behold, the Judge is standing before the gates. Take as an example of hardship and patience, brothers and sisters, the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord." James 5:7-10
"Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight His paths. Change your lives, the reign of God is near."
Waiting in joyful hope...
"For in him all the fullness was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile all things for him, making peacy by the blood of his cross through him, whether those on earth or those in heaven." Col 1:20
